Hello there! ‘Tis the season to be jolly.
But really, it’s the time for ugly Christmas sweaters and pretty Christmas dresses. Either way, you’re going to need some hairstyles to go with your outfit. I had a fun time going through Pinterest searching for the cutest hairstyles that are also nice and easy to do, for the most part.
In addition to the tutorial pictures, I’m going to explain a little about what’s going on in them, just in case it’s not quite clear. These pictures are all you will need to know how to create the hairstyle. I made sure they break it down easily. Any of these tutorials can be used as guidelines so you can switch them up any way you want and I’m sure your hair will still turn out adorable.
So here are some gorgeous Christmas party hair ideas, not in any specific order!
Christmas Party Hair Ideas #1:
Pinned Half Updo
For the Pinned Half Updo, first section off the top part of your hair and put it in a ponytail.
Next, grab about an inch or two of hair from the left side of your hair and bobby-pin it over your ponytail.
Then grab a section from the right side of your hair and bobby-pin it over the other side of your ponytail.
Repeat the last two steps and you’re finished!
Christmas Party Hair Ideas #2:
I recommend spraying your hair with a texture spray before attempting this hairstyle.
For the Bow Bun, first put your hair in a bun on top of your head.
Next, separate the bun into two equal sections.
Depending on the texture of your hair, you may need to bobby-pin the sides of the bow to your head before proceeding.
Then, take the hair left over from the bun and wrap it backwards to create the middle part of the bow. Bobby-pin this in the back.
Hair spray if needed.
Christmas Party Hair Ideas #3:
Backwards Bow Bun
I recommend spraying your hair with a texture spray for this hairstyle also.
For the Backwards Bow Bun, first take two equal sections from the side of your hair.
(leaving some hair in the front near your face will look better in the end)
Next, put these two equal sections into a bun in the back, with the remaining hair facing downwards.
Then, separate the bun into two equal sections and bobby-pin each side to the hair underneath.
Lastly, take the hair remaining from the bun and wrap it upwards to create the middle of the bow, bobby-pin it in place.
Christmas Party Hair Ideas #4:
This hairstyle is my personal favorite of the bunch.
For the Romantic Braid, first take a chunk of hair from the left side of your head and braid it.
Leave a few unbraided inches at the bottom and put a hair tie to keep the braid intact.
Next, Repeat the same thing for the right side of your head.
After you have the two sections braided, you can curl the remaining hair or just leave it natural. If you curl it, make sure to use a good heat protectant/hairspray such as Hot Off The Press.
Then, wrap each braid around the back of your head in a way that they are not overlapping.
Bobby-pin each side.
You can either remove the hair ties once you have the braids secured, or hide the ends under the braids.
Optional: If you’d like, you can gently pull on the hair on the top of your head to give it some volume.
Christmas Party Hair Ideas #5:
For the Perfect Pony, first curl your hair.
After curling, section off the front half of your hair, and put the back half in a ponytail.
Next, take the whole left section of your hair and wrap it over the top of your ponytail. Secure with bobby-pins.
Then, take the whole right section of your hair and wrap it over your ponytail the same way. Secure with bobby-pins.
Hair spray the top section to prevent frizz.
I hope you enjoyed these tutorials and found the Christmas party hair ideas you were looking for.
