The L’Oreal Ever Fresh Scalp Care System is a 3 step treatment system that restores scalp balance and helps stop scalp itching, irritation and flaking associated with dandruff. Essentially it’s supposed to get rid of dandruff and prevent it from coming back. I’m going to tell you a little bit about each product separately, then let you know what I think of the system as a whole. I’ll also tell you how I use the system, and give you some pros and cons.
L’Oréal EverFresh Micro-Exfoliating Scrub
Step 1 of the 3 step treatment is this little jar of Micro-Exfoliating Scrub. It’s a thick grainy product that you massage into your scalp to exfoliate the dead skin/flakes and get rid of them. You’ll notice it has orange beads in it –those are because of the apricot seed. I don’t like this jar it comes in. It’s not shower friendly at all.
L’Oréal EverFresh Antidandruff Shampoo
Step 2 of the 3 step treatment is the Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. It is a white medium consistency product with 1% pyrithione zinc that is used just like any other shampoo. The shampoo has a strong smell that is similar to hair dye. It lathers well after the scalp has been cleaned by the Micro-Exfoliating Scrub.
L’Oréal EverFresh Balancing Conditioner
Step 3 of the 3 step treatment is this Balancing Conditioner. Dandruff Shampoos can easily dry out your hair so this is used to ‘balance’ that out by moisturizing your hair. It has the same strong smell as the Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. Just like the shampoo, it is also a medium consistency white product. (Honestly I think any conditioner would work the same way to be used as the third step. Anything that would moisturize your hair is fine.)
L’Oreal Ever Fresh Scalp Care System
As a whole, I think this system was a smart idea. Beginning with an exfoliating scrub for the scalp really helps to break up the flakes and dead skin on the scalp, and then the powerful shampoo washes it all away. The smell is pretty powerful and lingers in your hair after the shower. I think it smells like hair dye but my boyfriend thinks it smells awesome… so that’s cool. As for the conditioner, I think any conditioner would work as well as this one. I don’t think it’s special. It’s just used to moisturize your hair after using dandruff fighting products.
After about 4 washes, my dandruff was completely cleared. You know how you don’t really notice once a problem you had went away, even if it was something severe? That’s kind of how it was. My dandruff was getting really bad and then it just went away from using this stuff. I didn’t really think much about it because I wasn’t having the issue anymore. So I guess this stuff worked pretty well!
• It works to get rid of dandruff
• No harsh salts
• Not tested on animals
• Cheap price
• Boyfriend likes the smell
• Strong smell
• Exfoliating Scrub jar is not convenient
How to Use
1.) Wet your hair thoroughly. Then put a few tablespoons of the L’Oréal EverFresh Micro-Exfoliating Scrub into your palm. Work it into your scalp and give it a good massage for a minute or two. Rinse out.
2.) Grab the L’Oréal EverFresh Antidandruff Shampoo. Use however much you would normally use for shampoo. Massage it into your scalp and down to the rest of your hair. Rinse out.
3.) Use the L’Oréal EverFresh Balancing Conditioner from the middle of your hair down to the ends. (Using conditioner on your roots can make your hair get oily quickly) Leave it in for a few minutes and then rinse.
If you have any issues with dandruff or a flaking scalp, give the L’Oreal Ever Fresh Scalp Care System a shot. It worked really well for me. When I get issues with dandruff, I like to experiment with different products to see how effective they are, and I’d say this system has been a winner.

*[I received the L’Oreal Ever Fresh Scalp Care System, including the L’Oréal EverFresh Micro-Exfoliating Scrub, the L’Oréal EverFresh Antidandruff Shampoo, and the L’Oréal EverFresh Balancing Conditioner for free in my Influenster Voxbox. If you haven’t heard of Influenster, it’s a company that sends you boxes of free beauty products so you can try them out and let the world know what you think. I didn’t have to make a blog review about it. They just want you to write short reviews on the company website but I figured I would put it on my website as well.]*
