My Rating: 9/10

If you’re one of those girls that love the color pink, this is a must have wand. This pink curling wand is the fashionable way to get the perfect curls and it won’t take hours. I can create a beautiful head of curls with my wand in less than 20 minutes; I’m sure you can too. If you’ve been turned off by attempting to style your hair using a curling iron with a clamp, you definitely need to try this wand. It’ll change your whole “getting cute” experience.

This Pink Curling Wand is Special

Why is it special? You’ll really only be able to understand why after you try it out. Okay maybe not after your first try if you’re a hair curling newbie, but you’ll get the hang of it, I promise. Here are some reasons why:

It’s inexpensive.

Some curling irons will pull you into paying over $100 for something that will work the same as any other. This pink curling wand is less than $30. It’s almost unheard of to get a quality product like this for such a low price. The best part is that there’s no catch –just a great product.

It’s cute.

This Plugged In Pink Curling Wand is so precious and princessy. I love the color pink, especially this color baby pink. The contrast of the black barrel with the pink handle gives it sort of a sexy look, if you’re comfortable calling your curling wand sexy.

It gets your hair styled quick.

Once you get the hang of using a wand, you’ll start creating curled hairstyles in no time. You may already be an expert with hair, looking for a curling iron as cute as this one. If not, it won’t take long to become a wand expert. The general idea of curling with a wand is wrapping your hair around the wand, holding it for a second, then letting go. Simple.

It heats up in seconds.

You just read it right there, it heats up in seconds. Once you have this pink curling iron, you should never be late to an event due to hair issues. I would just be careful since it heats so quickly. I like to set my wand down on a cotton glove to protect my vanity from any heat damage.

Q & A

♦ Question: How hot does it get?

Answer: It heats up to 400°. You should not automatically put the curling wand on the highest heat setting. Set it according to your hair. Thin hair should use a lower heat setting and thick hair will probably need more heat. Using the hottest setting won’t make your hair better or last longer; it will only potentially damage your hair.

♦ Question: Will it fry my hair?

Answer: You should never use any heat products without a heat protectant. Even though the tourmaline ceramic barrel curls hair from the inside out, causing less damage, a heat protectant is still necessary. My favorite ones are Paul Mitchell Hot Off The Press and Milkshake Incredible Milk. For thick unruly hair, I recommend this heat protectant.

Question: Does it come with a heat protectant glove?

Answer: It comes with a heat protective finger glove. If you’re careful enough to not need it that’s fine. Some people just use a cotton glove also.

Question: Why does it say “Plugged In”, aren’t all curling irons plugged in?

Answer: Plugged In is the company name.

Question: What is the size of the part that curls hair?

Answer: The barrel is 1 inch.

♦ Question: Is it easy to use?

Answer: The pink curling wand is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it. If you are able to afford something more expensive that takes almost 0% effort to curl your hair, check out the BeLiss PRO Curl Genius.

Question: Are there any cons?

Answer: Well it doesn’t have a stand to stop the curling iron from burning the surface it’s set on. I use a cotton glove to set it down on so it doesn’t burn my vanity set. Also, the barrel can be a little slippery if it’s not held right, causing hair to slide down to one end –this is only if you’re holding it incorrectly though.

A warning I have is that all hot styling tools will damage your hair unless you use a good quality heat protectant. I mentioned a few of my favorites above.

With all of that said, I’m sure you realize that the Plugged In Pink Curling Wand is a great product. This cheap buy is incredible for such a perfect pink curling wand.

  1. Hi Gina! It’s me again!
In this post, I truly loved the way you wrote that product review. Women will truly appreciate your piece of advice. also, I give you an A+ for offering a Q & A session to help customers make better decisions on the product. Keep it up, Gina!

  2. I absolutely love curly hair and unfortunately I was blessed with hair as straight as a board! I can never seem to find a styling product that will get my hair to hold a curl. I also hate the crease a regular curling iron does to my hair at the end. My hair is SUPER long, would something like this with such a small barrel be able to handle very long hair? I would love to give this curling tool a try! Great read!

    • Krista,

Yes! This would be able to handle long hair. I have long hair myself. If you know how to do it the right way, this can curl any length hair. When wrapping, only take small pieces of hair at a time and wrap as close as you can to the last time you went around the barrel.

Only curling the bottom half of your head is a good idea too. The curls are just as cute.

I know of a product that will get your hair to hold onto the curls. Paul Mitchell Hot Off The Press. It’s a heat protectant hairspray that is perfect for any type hair! I suggest you try it and be amazed.

  3. Very useful information here, I love how your site looks. I can tell it does make a huge difference, it is way easier to read. That pink cone looks ultra portable I am pretty sure my girlfriend would like this and it isn’t too expensive that’s always a good thing for me.

  4. I love the pink wand. I like to curl my hair a lot and my revlon wand broke two weeks ago. I have been looking for a new one ever since. This one looks sturdy and it has a swivel cord. I love those. I like the price as well. I don’t like to spend to much money on hair tools. Thanks for the article it was a good read.

    • Merceadez,

You came to the perfect article then! It’s nice and cheap, but still a great product. Shipping is quick also.

  5. Hi Gina!
Great product review! I love the Q & A. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thank you for the Paul Mitchell heat protectant recommendation also. I am super excited to give this a try, as I love the way my hair looks when its curled!!! And there are so many updo’s as well that require the use of a good curling wand 🙂
I look forward to reading more like this!
